Are the Freedom Fuel pellets they sell at home depot any good? I'm just wondering if anyone has used them before. Good? Bad? The price seems to be low, so I was considering them.

I've never used them but here is a website you can check out that has info about them.

Thanks for the link. The only down side I can foresee is that I have to pick them up. They will deliver, but it's not cheap!

You could always rent a home depot truck and have them load it in for you. It would cost about $20 for the truck for 90 minutes i think. But you then have to unload the truck pretty quick too.

Your better off going through pelletsales.com or some place like that. Depending were you live they will truck it right to your house. At home depot I have found that you are rolling the dice on the quality of the pellets you get. Who knows you long their pellets have been sitting around for.

I burned about 3 bags of the Freedom Fuels, and they were just OK....more fines than I'm used to, and a little more ash, but not terrible. Problem is that they aren't any cheaper than other better pellets.

I agree they are not cheaper. You are going to end up paying more in the long run. I don't think they give deals by the ton. You pay by the bag pricing.
