I need advise. I'm thinking about buying a new wood pellet stove. Is now a good time to buy one? Or should I wait until mid summer when the last thing on peoples mind is a new stove. Basically I just want to make sure I don't buy at the wrong time. When do most deals run?

Actually I'd right now is the best time to buy. Most hearth dealers are selling off last years inventory, so you should be able to get  nice discount. Also most pre-buys for pellets are happening now. This is he cheapest time of the year to buy pellets.

Don't forget about the tax credit you will get back for buying a pellet stove.

Thanks for the info. I spoke to the wife about it and we are going pellet stove shopping this weekend. Wish me luck!
